Anyone that has fitted a duratec using the ranger sump able to give some advice, was it just a simple bolton replacement for the standard Sump or did it need additional modifications? Info I have found so far says both

you also need the ranger pickup pipe which may need bending slightly depending on which oil pump you use, it was a right pain getting mine to fit in the engine bay and i ended up significantly modifying the cross member to get it all to fit
i modified a ranger sump with a big wing plus raised the pickup pipe a and tig welded in a plate to raise it to give crossmember clearance for escort fitment
seemed to work ok
