boost problems

in my small turbo escort when you put your foot flat to the floor i kicks right in ,but when the revs pick up it dont seen as powerful and the boost drops down and comes up and so on ,is it the actuator spring

could be a weak actuator, worth checking for air leaks first

where is the most common leaks as im new to cozzies cheers clint

dump valve is most common then the boost hoses then the inlet plenum gasket, you can normally see this by looking around the top of the plenum and underneath with a mirror.

Look for missing or loose fasteners too, you may see a splattering of thin oil or a black residue around the leak if its been their long enough.
