peugoet 205 1.9 budget race engine

i've just stumbled over this, a plot from a budget race engine i did a few years ago, unfortunatly i've lost the torque curve which was a nice curve, but even so it shows what remarkable little engines these are, considering how little i actually did to it.

1905cc, 1600 pistons giving 11.3 cr from memory, ported head (by me) std valves, std exhaust manifold, group A race cam, 45 dellortos

yeah they do by about 10bhp, even so its quite a power gain over std for what the modifications actually were, the car still even had a std exhaust.

I like this comment...they say the std exhaust on the 205 is far better than any aftermarket ones...Peugeot got it right from the start !!

Good to see how a little work seen some nice improvement in power....a bit of an incentive to get going with ours !!

done quite a few pugs over the years , really fussy about cams and exhausts , used to put a lot of Magnex manifolds and systems on only to lower the max power made by 1000 rpm , still made it more drivable though in fairness most people were happy with the result.
