It's so cute!

Had a Mk3 before, but that was shit. Also done plenty of work on my mates Mk1's in my teens, but this is the first one I've owned.

22K from new, almost mint bodywork, apart from an off colour wing, and a few touchups here and there. Underneath very clean and tidy. Ten months ticket, and all for £350!

Contemplating what to do with it, engine change almost definitely. Got a load of S1 bits lying around. Will seats/steering wheel fit? Need to sort suspension as it's on -50mm on the front, and standard on the back. Might change it to -25mm all round.

And they say you can't buy cool.

certain recaro seats will fit. Pretty sure the seat runners are the same as mark2 fiesta. As a result series 2 escort recaros bolt straight on from what I remember.

Not sure on the steering wheel.....................

Good find, I had a mk2 escort with a efi frst engine and it went like stink (that was only running a t2 which I recommend over the t3 on smallers cars as its more fun getting to 40 than trying to get to 140!)

As it happens, I still have a set of four spokes from my first car (Mk2 Escort, 16 years ago

) lying around somwhere. Will need a refurb though. Think they were off a Supersport originally.

Need to sort suspension before anything else.

Not sure if I want to put a 5 spd in. Too much greif modding bodywork. (Unless Gary wants to give me a good price.

) Engine. Might just go the easy route and stick a bigger crossflow in.

1.3 cvh turbo crossed my mind at one point. If only to keep the tax down.

Anyhoos, needs a clean and polish first as it's now got bloody cat paw prints on it.

I think you will find the mk2 Escort and mk1 Fiesta 4 spokes are different offsets. I put some fwd ones on my mk1 and it rubbed on the front badly with coilovers. Doubt I would have got them on with normal struts.

Love the car though, looks like a good bargain.
