    Re: Problems with techniclutch

Yes they have one of the worst reputations for selling 2nd rate clutch's, my son without me knowing bought a ap kit for his cosworth it was to late to cancel so he rang them up to confirm it was a genuine ap clutch being sent out, they asked for the parts numbers and sent a genuine ap cover and plate and a crap release bearing at a bargain price must have been very lucky. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...osworth-Clutch

    Re: Problems with techniclutch

I have first hand experience of this a really close friend brought a clutch for his Cosworth from these muppets, was meant to be uprated and when it got to me it was a normal re-manufactured kit not even new; they did swap it out but it seems to me that they try and send inferior parts out to lots of people and only sort out the ones who complain.

You only have to look on Google to see how many people have had similar issues !

My friend reported them to his issue via this quick online form: https://ssl.datamotion.com/form.aspx...lare.fromforms

I suggest if you have had issues to do the same.

    Re: Problems with techniclutch

all about techniclutch there as been so many complaints about this
company. and when i brought a clutch from them i can see why

there parts are of poor quality. you may save your self £200 if you buy

a clutch from them. but it will cost you £400 more in labour for a

garage to take it out and put a decent one in. i brought a clucth of

techniclutch paid £117 and then paid my garage £250 to put it in. then

it had to come out because it was vibrating and slipping like mad i

phone techniclutch they told me it will do because they put oil on the

clutch at the factory. he told me to run it in for 30 miles i ran it in

for 120 miles this is easy for me as i am a taxi driver. 120 miles

    still no change

went back to my garage they order me a clutch for £370 they felt a bit

sorry for me and said they will only charge me £150 labour. £100
    cheaper

than before. now my car runs like a dream total cost £887 this would
only have cost me £620 if i did not use techniclutch.

    but then i have stated

that i am a taxi driver which techniclutch new before i brought the

clutch of them .i lost £600 in wages so to get my car back up and
running. at a cost £1487 because of this company.

    the thing with techniclutch
they don't take into consideration that people like you

and me have to pay a garage labour yes labour labour techniclutch
    labour .

so any one thinking of buying a clutch from techniclutch dont. go to

euro car parts or car parts for less i would also like to add the

stress this a cause me and being right on top of Christmas. so please i

beg of you dont use techniclutch .you would be better making a clutch

out of lego and that would last longer ha ha ha ah

i am looking forward to taking them to court if they dont refund my labour because i know i will win hands down as my brother is barrister so for me its free i do also have back up of other ebay members as i will be supporting them in court as well and finally stop this company trading poor parts

I have had some problems and wish that i had read this forum prior to my purchase. Techniclutch give no address detail and hide their domain details on the whois database. They are not a liminted company under the name 'techniclutch' and do not state that it is a trading name of any other company. if you find an address for them please let me know.....

Hi Mark hope my post on techniclutch is of help to you. They have a terrible reputation and should be reported to trading standards.

Hi I wish Id seen this forum and this post prior ordering from them
Please tell me what has happened, ANY advice as Ill be going to court with them now as they have refused any reimbursement whatsoever by saying I or someone else but them has cracked the flywheel !!!!!
P.S unless Ive run it over with a tank cant see how I can crack a Solid Flywheel !?.... but that's what they are claiming now and Ive return the whole kit as only the CSC turned out to be faulty as dropped all the liquid out AFTER everything was fitted gutted as it cost me double in labor to take out again.
Please any help or advice will be much appreciated
    Thank you all in advance

Total buffoons.....I came across this posting on these cowboys as its the top google post.

Having bought a ful kit including flywheel my mechanic fitted the gearbox back to the car and the engine locked up.

Wrong bolts had been supplied, Techniclutch admitted they knew of fault which has now cost me an extra £200 labour.

They are refusing to cover the cost of additional labour and are ignoring attempts at communication.

Use this company at your peril!
