You wont really have any different issues than me lol

also are you cutting the heater bowl out to fit engine further back

One hassle with z20let is its fly by wire...
And I'm sure it runs as part of the canbus systems the ecu etc.

I was planning on using the original turbo what's the advantages with the Nissan turbo? Dont realy want to cut the heater bowl out unless i realy have to, does anythibg need modifying to the back if the engine on the z20lets to get it to flush, like the redtops need the dizzy removing and blaning off? And as for the wiring I was thinking running it with a megasquirt ecu

im fitting a z20let to my kit car. only at the parts gathering stage so far though.

ideally you'll want a t5 gearbox as a type 9 might not last too long if you get greedy with torque (might as well build it tough from the start).
bellhousing from rwd motorsport, SBD can supply the clutch set-up.
megasquirt is probably a good idea, ive only ever used megajolt, but had no issues with that so will be using megasquirt when the time comes

you can use the throttle body from a x20xev which is a cable operated TB and fits straight on.

it's possible, but it's not a very cheap engine transplant from what i can see

They are insanely easy to megasquirt,
If any one needs any advice or help just ask,
    I had a megasquirted turbo'd c20xe!

Hi was wondering if you could help me as you said u have had exsperiance with megasquirt, I have never used it, what coil pack would I need to use, and would I be able to get a base map from somewhere or would I have to start from scratch, is there any additional sensors I would need to run? Any help would be brilliant, cheers, elliot

I can email you over a base map, but it literally is just that.
I used a coil pack off a 2.0 ecotec engine, usually found in Astra's vectras etc,
Has your ecu had the extra ignition driver fitted?
    Sensor wise you need,
    Tps,
    Map sensor(built in to ecu)
Tps (optional but I recommend it)
    Crank sensor,
    Intake air temp,
    Coolant temp,

Yes too use wasted spark you need the extra ignition mod,
I used all the standard sensors bar the intake temp, I used the one diyautotune sell, it's a gm one, but you could use any it'll just need setting up,
And obviously the map sensor is built into the ecu,

You'll have to check your tps is a normal tps And not a switch also, but it should be normal.
