He has got a brand new V8 engine coming this week, and he mumbled something about changing it to manual

excellent , could expect 500 bhp on only 1 bar of boost i should think , put it in a lightweight e21 , e30 or say an e28 and bye ,bye , back tyres !!!!!!!

It wont have boost man, my ride will be bad ass with no extra air, these V8's are making 600BHP in race trim, any 4 valve motor should make 100HP per litre, thats a 4.4 litre Range Rover engine you do the math

I am going to try and extract 400+ HP out of the near standard engine, not sure if I can do it as I am in unchartered territory, but the current thinking is to fit a couple of sets of bike throttle bodies play with the headers and run my Mk1 Escorts Motec ECU.
