    1987 RST S2 Project

    S2 Advert
    1987 Escort RST S2


    Reshelled 1987 S2 with correct VIN, V5 and History (MOT's, receipts etc)


    The old shell was in a terrible way, so you could look at this car as a reshelled S2... Or as a 1.3 Popular as a S2 rep...


    Either way it will look and drive like a S2!


    It's been resprayed in Ford Panther Black Metallic
    Koni adjustable shocks all round
    Rebuilt engine
    Gearbox is currently having bearings done
    Brand new headlining
    A Pillar covers aren't knackered!
    Loads of previous receipts and old MOT's to show history
    Basically the car is now just a jigsaw puzzle, I've already made a start


    Engine and box need to go in, along with the rest of the interior


    I do not have a sunroof for it, old sunroof was rotten! I still have the glass for it though, just the running gear was mushed


    Considering it is what it is, and no longer being ALL NUMBERS MATCHING HOLY GRAIL S2... I am asking £3,000


    It's on the Isle of Wight so veiwjng is recommended and we can arrange getting it to mainland England if necessary

    No, that would be illegal wouldn't it? I think the only legal way around that is to get it to fail an MOT on rust by the sill (structural) and then cut the POP vin number out and just put a plate in, as if it has been repaired. Then there is no way to find that it is not the original shell if it were to be written off or inspected.

    By 'VIN' in the description, I meant the little tag on the slam panel
