2.1 pinto 187 bhp anglia 105e

hello people , this is my mate richard's anglia 105e . I've know this car for over 20 years and the last 3 owners of it as well . The car was sprayed in the 1980's and still looks good today . Richard has had a few bits of bodywork done over the years but nothing to major . It has 7x13 superlite wheels on the rear with 185/60/13 tyres and skinney 5.5x13 inch wheels on the fronts with 165 /60/13 tryes . The engine is a 2.1 pinto producing 187 bhp on sanspeeds rolling road recently . It has 2.8 v6 pistons , ht1 cam , twin 48 dcoe carbs , modified head , and all the other usual mods . This car is very fast and a veteran of the south london street racing nights down the mad mile . Richard runs low 14 sec quarter miles at the pod on road tyres and with full trim fitted , and 13.5 secs on slicks . It uses a standard rs2000 4 speed gearbox and a plate type l.s.d. in a 3.9 ratio . that's a nice stock angle box you have there dave , just needs a 6 inch ride height adjustment and some rims

got a set of lotus rims coming for it,not got round to lowering it as not sure if i'm gonna change front struts,depends on what lump i get,1500 gt would be nice,would rather keep it as pre x flow if i can,have to wait and see

classic capri front stuts with about 3 coils left ! , 2 inch lowering blocks and de-camberd leaf springs , ride comfort is non existent so bad backs are on the cards

Thats wot i like to hear!!! none of this ive just spent a million pounds putting milton stuff on, (not knocking it by the way, just think its expensive for us DIYers) but a budget modifyer like cest moi who thinks i will save money on my springs and get 187bhp out that pinto instead, loving it!!!

This "angry box" sorry anglia was out kicking some MR2 turbos butts off the traffic lights the other night . One fella came over for a look and nearly had a breakdown when he could only see a pinto under the hood !!!!!!! . It's really funny when the new skool posse can't believe how fast a simple old skool pinto angle box can move , it kills me every time Richard is really up for the action and really foooooookin hates losing to them as well , if he loses it gets faster next time as he'll go home and take it too bits !!!!!!! ..........

this car is really good fun and the engine in it didn't break the bank either . The bottom end is a standard injection pinto with 2.8 V6 pistons at £120 a set with a 2.1 rebore and balance . The powers in the head which is pretty tasty and where he spent his money . Richard the owner is a very good mechanic and engine builder but won't come on this forum because he wants to be kept in the shadows !!!!!

this is the coolest anglia. am i right in thinking it was featured in a really old classic ford. if so this was the anglia that got me into the old ford scene.
ive since sold my anglia project.....
mate if you ever sell it, i want it!

yes mike it was in classic ford many years ago . Richard won't sell it though as i've asked him plenty of times for people on here who were after it

The interior + seats were supplied by Bernard Newbury whos a very famous car trimmer in the old skool VW scene . They are over 15 years old now but still look ok
