Hi all..was doing a little research on port velocity etc on pintos and came across this dyno plot of a modified pinto built by David Vizard waaaay back. Its spec is 2050cc, has a 280* duration can with .500" lift, runs twin 45 Dellorto carbs, and 10.9:1 CR. Do take a close look at not only the peak bhp and torque figures but at the LOW rpm its producing it. I mean a N/A pinto with 150 lbs.ft @ 1750 rpm? Then up to 180 lbs.ft @ 4500 rpm? I see it..but do you believe it? How is such prodigious torque output possible with less than 2.1 litres from so low an RPM?..Most really good tuners in the UK will struggle to get 160 lbs.ft from a 2.1 and there are more than a few 2.3's and 2.4's that get to 185 lbs.ft. Add the fact that his peak bhp of 180 appears @ a lowly 6000 rpm and it begins to look well..too good to be true? What do you all think of this dyno plot..really?
