    2.0 XE Cranks

    Right just trying to work out about cranks for the XE and I am getting quiet confused about whats what. Namely;
    What power the standard crank can take?
    The difference between different years?
    I have been on Mig web and someone there say's it can take 10,500rpm. Is this possible or just madness?
    Any input will be helpful
    Cheers
    James

    Re: 2.0 XE Cranks

    Ok in answer to my own question. Spoke to SBD. they recomend the standard crank to 85000rpm all day long and said with careful lightening, balancing and possibly knife edging it should be fine for over 9000rpm. But they said 10,500rpm is pushing it and they would use a steel crank for that speed.

    Anyone heard different from anyone else?

    Can confirm the standard crank is good for 8500 rpm. I've had 3 cranks checked for balance & GM are very good at getting them spot on.
