Cupra Formentor / MR2 Mk3 / Fiat Ambulance
The size of that tunnel compared to the car
Excellent stuff I think the best cars are the ones that are home built and made to be used
i doubt its 500 bhp my m8's mini is the fastest in the world 4 time's it does a 9.9 1/4
but its a very good effort i bet its a bit of a handful my other m8 owns BOB a 3.0 24v cossie powered mini
Smart!
this car pegged the dyno at 450 bhp at 4000 rpm and had 455 ibls/feet of torque at 2000 rpmOriginally Posted by cossiemetro

great piece of video mr brayspeed , you can also see a feature on this car in the current mini world magazine
nice looked very steady on the handling
A quick update on this car for you . Although very fast , Nathan has decided that it's still TOO SLOW and has sold the engine from it !!!!!! He's building another bigger , better one to get in the nine's . I'm not getting in it again ..................
If thats the case, will he get yet a bigger tunnel for it?? Whats he planning to make in it 140+ or what?Originally Posted by mk1 gaz
What are the engine plans and whats he thinking to put in the new engine?
Nev
he's using an alloy blocked 5.7 litre small block chevy V8 with race heads , cams and lots of gas . The manual box is being changed for an auto box and the car is hoping for 140+ mph terminal speeds . We won't see till next year now as Nathan can't use any of his existing parts so he's selling the engine and box to a mate then starting again .
5.7!!!!!! JESUS!, Now that is an effort, erm, how exactly is he planning to fit it into the engine bay of such a small car or is it being extended into the passenger area or does it magically just about fit in?
Nev
he made the car fit the engine , see the photos above or check out the full feature in mini world magazine
well im fooked !!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I've spoke to him this week and his new engine has arrived from the U.S.A. , i get some pics for you all soon
I'm sick,lol
that is fooking awsum, i dont like the bonnet lump . but to be fair he has done well to even keep it looking like a mini at all. lol keep us posted
Saw this in Mini World last year, Awesome. Havent seen it in action yet though, how does it compare with Carl Austins twin A series and Stuarts RS mini on the strip? Did he have anything to do with the mid engine chevy V8 mini pickup from a few years back, (Pic attached!)
He's nothing to do with the mini pick up in the photo mate . The car was only built for a few months and he was not happy with his drag racing times so changed his mind again . Stuart Meads' rear engined turbo mini is faster as it runs down in the 9's so Nathans got too go much faster to beat him . The new engine is stroked out to 7 litres and is a pro-built race motor from the U.S.A. so it should shift a bit i reckon . Pictures will be comming soon as i'm going to see him this week .
I hope he's gonna stick some aerodynamic aids on it, would be a shame to see such good (and expensive) work destroyed should it decide to get airborne.
i think stuart is coming back even faster this year
Nice picture m8 thanks.
A few changes being made for this year, with any luck should be seeing somewhere around the 750 bhp if we can get it right this time
Look forward to some competition its about time
f##king quick (so the wife says)
Wow! i haven't seen nathan for a couple of years, he'd just made the bellhousing when i last saw it.
i remember when it used to have an XE in it - now that scared me.
must pop in and see him, is he still in raynes park?
Yes still in raynes park . The minis back on the road again but now with a race 7 litre V8 and auto box + gas !!!!!!!! . Early reports are no traction until 80 mph then it goes like a missile
