So after a lot of thinking I have finally decided to put my car up for sale. I have been at odds on whether to do this for a while now. But the decision has been made. So here goes.
It’s a 1980 mk2 Escort 1.6 Ghia. Terracotta with brown vinyl roof. I have owned the car for over 3 years and am the 5th recorded owner. In my ownership the car has never been used in the rain. Around September each year it has been SORNED for the winter months. In the 3 years I have owned it I have done around 1400 miles in the car.
The car is booked in for an MOT this coming Friday. It has passed every MOT since I have had it with no work needed.
Interior wise the car is immaculate. No rips or tears in any of the seats, no cracks on dash or anywhere else. I have fitted a 3 spoke RS2000 steering wheel although I still have the original. .
Exterior is also very good. As I said I have never let the car see any water. It has never got beyond dust on the car so a wipe down and polish every month done the job. Paintwork is very good with only a small amount of bubbling around the bottom of the front wing. The vinyl roof is in good order with only a small slit at the top of the quarter panel. It’s the original roof so I never wanted to change it.
I have just put a set of new 13x7 Minilites on it with new Nankang tyres. Will come with a spare minilte alloy with brand new tyre as well. These have only done around 70 miles. I have also fitted a set of Gaz adjustable shocks to the rear of the car.
I have all the old MOT’s from new and a folder of history for the car.
My car is by no means a concourse car but it is a very good example.
I have probably missed loads but feel free to ask me any questions. Or better still come see the car.
Car is located just outside Glasgow.
Price wise I would like £5500.
Please no time wasters.
