May as well start whos got minis? where do u come from? and well details and stuff? anyone that can get to Minehead on the Saturday 28th of May 2006 there is a mini show by the railway station all day just wondered if anyone wants to come along. Prizes for the best minis, all forms shapes and sizes accounted for, rust included!

Drive an austin mini 1000 with an 850 engine from 1979

Mine is the rust old silver one, My brothers is the union jack, my mums the british racing green and the blue one is well one of the locals!

Here are some pics of my mates mini. Started off as a 1.0l city and we did the conversion about 2 years ago now. Mg metro 1300 engine & box, mg ap 4pots, hi-lo's on the back....still yet to do the fronts!! Full rollecentre cage, etc ,etc. But its pretty rusty so i think this winter we will be ripping the front end off and fixing it, a panels, scuttle, wings, frontpanel, doors, boot & bonnet and then a respray probably in blue

cool, mine the entire front is beng re done, there is not one part, (a panels wings doors bonnet etc) that doesnt have rust on it, but heck thats the fun with them, theres always something to do! may be upgrading the engine to 998 or 1000cc, but will put more spots on, gettin a horn set, not gonna be offroad but almost, the front wheels are not as far from the wheel arches at the back but the subframs is old, so lots to do!

Lol Cool, dont break down along the way, my bro's brakes failed totally when he was goin to work so he had to use the handbrake to stop and v low gears! lol
Now he uses my rust bucket which is finally being repaired for my birthday thank god! my a panels and rims hardly exist anymore so they will soon i hope!

These two were my missuses motors the estate was a standard 1275 with a 1 3/4 su and the one in the back ground was a w reg 1.3i sportpak she sold the estate coz she had the sportpak then it had a meeting with the back end of a merc and they wrote it off and she wasn't able to buy it back

Found some pics of my old Mini, the pictures dont do it justice, it was Rover Tahiti blue at the front faded in to black, with blue pearl drop-coated and cross coated over the black, it came alive in the sun with a very progressive fade, my first go at custom type paint.
The front spoiler was an Alfa 33 cloverleaf bumper that I cut up and re-shaped.
It had various engines fitted until they went pop, the last being a 1300 with a wolf cam and twin choke nikkipercy: carb.

Sold it to a mate who wrote it off in about three weeks

the blue-black fade does look too bad, well ladies and gents i have sold my mini (omg suprise) but dont fret i now have a black mayfair to contend with with less rust, and somehow i managed to sell the silver 850 for £425 when its worth is around the £350 area, people love minis!!!

And the show pics shall be in a new post v soon

awww poor thing, Well just bought myself a mini mayfair, 998, old y reg, need work on the 2 wings and passeger side b panel jet black but pretty much no rust apart from the parts above. Ill try and get some pics on as soon as i can.
The silver one was sold, for more than I bought it for, but its gone to a good home and now I have a better 1 which goes by the name of Cyril!

aint got any pics yet, bt my m8 had a 998cc austin mini which he got 4 x-mas, he drove it around 4 6 months n sold it 4 £300 more than wat he brought it 4!! then he went out n brought a mayfair, n thats gt a 1275 rover police engine in, cobras, harnesses, spax all round n really nice monza red finish!! his mini really is the dogs b***x!!

Well Here he is, Cyril is his name and old is his game, bit of rust arond his front lights on the wings, and also on the b panels at the back but never the less he shall be sorted out for better use soon.

News on his front. He Failed his MOT!!! But he's in working order again!!!

dont worry so are we currently in the process of turboing it should be somewhere between 160-180bhp when we are done!!

But the whole car should have a nice spec to match and should handle the bollox

This ones mine. Not strictly a mini - it's a fibreglass, chopped down deseamed mini minus. Built up a 1380cc A+ with a rally/race cam, twin HS4's, straight cut gearbox and drop gears to throw in the front. Aiming for an all up weight of less than 700kgs.
Bought as an 'unfinished' project and stripped all the crap it's previous owner haphazardly stuck on and started again.
Slightly less finished than the rest!
