Escort mk1 Zetec

Hi guys,
i intend on updating this forum alot. i am chris im from Malta, and im building a escort mk1 zetec from scratch. so far, i have fitted the escort with Gartrac wheel arches, gearbox cover, and the normal basic group 4 mods. However when it came for the differential, i used a toyota axle, as past experience my mechanic has told me that in the long run is a much stronger axle then any other diff ford might own. attached find pictures of the axle, i had to cut it to the desired length needed. we also fit a watt linkage, custom built from cnc machined aluminum and chrome alloy rods. this has a center bearing and will work quite nicely when driven.
Since i shall be using a sequential gearbox, we made our own stabilizer, built from chromalloy. attached find pictures. the frame was fully welded. some pictures are not the finished job but its what i have on my phone so far.
the engine was shifted backwards quite a little, to help me out with the handling of the car. as you can see its bang on the bulkhead. the engine i am using has forged pistons, steel arrow rods, steel valves!, kent cams kit,(highpowered hillclimb need to double check the duration) ported cylinder head, stronger springs, (dono what type again) balanced and nitro wedged crank. custom aluminium flywheel, trottle bodies, and dta management system. high performance oil pump, and dry sump custom modified for the engine and car spec.
the wheels i bought are magnesium iondised wheels. super light 8x13 and 11x13, brakes are all round wilwood, arms legs everthing was bought heavy duty and only the best was chosen. hope il keep topping up this page on a weekly basis. today we machined the aluminum billet hubs. so far so good, most of engine fitting and body work has been done and cut off. now its time for me to sort out the horrible welds, finish off its corners neatly and send it to my sprayer. i intend on spraying it white. rs frozen white or the classic white not sure yet!

so a small update,
watts link installed, my engineer made a bearing the middle so it would have a swivel effect. car has been reinforced. all brakes and disks and hubs have been now installed also. wheels got the perfect match and the car is on the ground. now i have to take everything apart again and put it on my rotary jig so i can start the paint process![/ATTACH]

hi guys,
since we worked on the car we realised previous panel beater did alot of fuck ups in the car, so i basically had to take it to another panel beater to arrange all these irrgeular finishes. the car is now ready for spray, everything has been fitted and removed off the car. engine is complete, sequential gearbox fitting and removed again. rollcage fia arranged and re fitted.
we should be spraying the mk1 next month.chosing the colour scheme but i am going for this scheme, as i love the blue with white...
does anybody have this particular blue strip colour code?
