nice one mate , i used your car as an example to a few of the ' my motorbike is faster than all the cars in the world ' crew who still thought their 600cc bikes were faster . Oh well you can only try and educate some people . Top motor and one of my favs

that is beauty in the mini world, absolute beauty, what was it, a cooper? what year? whats ur secret? got any engine pics and interior pics?
I mean mines fast but not that fast. I lie, mines and 850 falling apart at the seams literally cos they are rusting away and does a top speed of wait for in 62mph! with the wind behind it!

I have to say well done on this beauty, but it isn't the fastest in the world. Z-cars in birmingham make faster minis of speeds into 150mph and more, but, if its all on road legal and original 1300 max engine from rover ill say its the fastest road legal mini made with proper mini parts... in the world.

Mate this car is doing 136mph in just a quarter of a mile, thats not what it tops out at necessarily.

Its RS turbod I think, and whats his secret you ask..... Which wheels are spinning

what im saying is tho that now i look into it, the engine cant be a minis, original engine, does that necesarily class it as the fastest mini, i mean if it had its original engine i would have to agree, but minis were built to the standard of 1300cc engines no more not 1900!!! my question is, whats the fastest mini with a rover engine and upgrades other than that.....?

that z cars mini uses a hairdryer of a bike engine so thats not a mini either . The fastest 'A' series powered mini is carl austins , but he's cheating because it's got two of them !!!! The fastest proper mini's are metro turbo powered ones and there's lots of them out there , even i've got one . They will never match the mini's with bigger engines though , especially rear wheel drive ones .

T61 roller bearing turbo with .56 exhaust housing & AR 70 intake
heavily modded Rover 620 inlet manifold
one piece special flexplate
Chevy Luminar manual/auto gearbox, full race spec by level ten transmissions USA
B&M ratchet shifter
Direct port Nitrous Injection by Nitrous Solutions approx 200 extra HP

Hope this is of interest to you all, engine output is guessed @ 400 bhp + 200 of gas

By the way it tops out at about 170 mph @ 7000, I have been to 155 with lots more under foot, the tell tale on the engine management says I have pulled 8250 rpm so we know it will go there even though it soft cuts @ 7800.
Oh & by the way, Z cars build some extaordinary mini's & I can say that because I give credit where credit is due, unfortunatly Z cars dont & when I have beaten their cars on every occasion so far there has been no recognition, not even a well done or a handshake.
If & when I eventually get beat, I will hold my hands up, take my hat off to them, because I have spent in excess of 40K to get this car to go this well, so whoever beats it will have put in a major amount of time & money, but mark my words, I will be back next time to have another go.

The ford rally team was at santa pod a few years back showing off their wrc focus when Francis Garcia's 3 door cossie blew it away up the quarter mile . They took it well though and came sniffing around for some tips !!!!!

arent wrc cars only putting out 300bhp due to a 35mm turbo restrictor?

wouldnt be suprising if a big bhp cossie with anti lag tanned its arse up the strip

A focas wrc car has 350 + bhp and 500+ ibls feet of torque , and their lighter , sequential gearbox , electronic diffs with electonic traction / launch control ,tarmac slick tyres and cost 500,000 + quid as well !!!!!! Francis's 3 door cossie had no anti lagg , a home made 4x4 saff conversion for traction , road tyres and it still beat it ! Stuart's mini would foooooookin piss all over one up the drag strip , in fact it would be embarassing !!!!

& as for a big bhp cossie tanning my arse, Martin Hadland had one of the biggest to my knowledge but did'nt manage to get into the 9s, & thats not taking it away from Martin, as his escort would probably do in excess of 200 mph as well as a 10 second quarter, so you see its horses for coarses.
