You are going to end up with a lovely straight car me thinks! That is a nice jig/table that he is using. Definitely worth a go if I do another Escort although not sure where all the datum points come from given these cars had tolerences in inches!

Drivers Side A-pillar repair
The A-pillar is made up of three parts.
Inner Door Jamb - number 5
Door Hinge Panel - number 3
These panels sandwich the A pillar (number 9) which has the door hinges and door check strap attached to it.
Because of previous repairs the inner panel is pretty knackered - this panel is not available to buy - so a new one is fabricated.

I guess they're part of the standard panel pressing. They do look vaguely speaker-hole-ish, but I can't imagine rear speakers would ever have been something Ford would have had the foresight to make space for in the mk1.
