    Back edge of the boot floor is a bit frilly, so time to make s new bit.

    And welded in.


    Chassis end plates.


    Lower rear panel ready to weld.

    Looking good 👍 keep plodding!!

    I completely stripped my mk1, then had it sandblasted to see what we had. Initially thought the shell was pretty good and we could replace steel as we went. How wrong was I!! Plate after plate after patch etc etc..

    Took 6 years of weekends but now have a really strong shell, well protected that should last for a good few years.

    This RS is going to be sweet....

    RS cross member repairs, a bit rusty and battered.


    Replacing the base plate






    New strengthener welded in



    Back on the shell itís only been a year since I touched it :0










    Building up an RS inner wing.

    No rush :-) and smiled at the comment where you hadn’t touched the shell for a year and glad it’s not just me as it’s been over 4 years since it was first painted and still not back together again
