standard silvertop sump for capri swap

has anyone ever tried using ths standard mondeo silvertop sump in a capri bay..? i know they wont fit in an escort but i know the capri has a fair bit more wiggle room. and looking at the mondeo sump, being reaar bowl, looks like it may squeeze in. i dont have anything laying around but im looking for another option rather than spending 400 quid on a rf one or bodging a 1.8 cvh one on and spending (£100+) far too much on one. cheers!!

I'll answer my own question here... Yes they do work perfectly. So if anyone's thinking of a zetec swap in a crapi, a mondeo silvertop sump will fit. Saves you 400 quid plus on a sump atleast!

Hey, Just want to say thank you for posting back to say this works.
Just managed to source a rear bowl silver top sump for my st170 capri project.
Going to spend the saved cash on getting the head ported and polished.
