I have just finished the installation of my new EWP80 and digital controller in my escort and took it out for its first drive. The controller is designed to allow the temperature to build up to a target temp following the algorithm below.
In practice however it seems to struggle to get out of Area A due to Area B being too efficient. If I set the target temp at 100, the car hangs around the 80 degree mark, its only when I am stationary for a long time that the temperature builds at all. I am thinking that the setup is infact too efficient and at the pulsing stage (Area B) the engine is flooded with cooled water.
Anyone have any thoghts or ideas? I am at a loss here, I thought the EWP80 would make things easier on the cooling front and not more difficult.
Thanks
