    Amazing Weekend

Well what a weekend we have all just had, since Friday its been long hours 9am to 4 and 5 oclock in the morning, I am normally a creature who likes his sleep but somehow I managed to just keep going as everyone else did. With the fact we were all tired and working so close to each other you would have thought there would have been a few hot heads but there just wasnt, I cant believe how everyone worked so well together, we should all feel very proud of just that.

Easy jobs hard jobs clean jobs messy jobs I didnt see anyone picking and choosing we just all mucked in and did whatever was required. I had thought I would have needed to manage it all much more, I once referenced an army of ants, I am sure the footage 351Escort took will show this along with my inpersonation of a bumbling idiot everytime the camera pointed at me.

I have a barrow load of thankyous here I am just not sure how to give them out, but if the people involved are feeling the same way as I am about the whole expierence you would have come away with an amazing feeling of community and love for our extended family that Turbosport has become.

Nickiy spent the first 10 minutes muttering 'why'.... 'why' (I thought she was singing Delila) So now I have had a think and asked myself the same question:

Why...... Because we thought we could... and did
Why...... Because you are a special person... and deserve
Why...... Somtimes people need reminding how good giving feels... so don't forget the cakes

In life what you give is what you recieve, you give 100% and your get 100% back, for me 6 weeks of arranging things, 4 Days of probably the hardest work I have ever done that was accoumpanied by loads of sweat, aches, head scratching and very little sleep... BUT you knwo what... there is no payment that would make me feel any better than I feel now!

So just before I leave to go and do the final touches to Esme I would like to thank my Manager and the Band (always wanted to say that):

A massive thanks to all the sponsors, Special Thanks in order of apearance to Rob Holder of RWD-Escort, Arron @ HT Racing, Gary@ Retromotorsports and Sam @ B&P Paint Shops; as I witnessed them all put in a lot of effort and who were all key to the success of Overhaulin' Turbosport Style.

A massive Thanks to Sharon, Hayleigh, Morgan, Ethan and Kai for putting up with very little Daddy for the last month or so.

A massive thanks to all the people that helped out over the weekend you guys are the best and I mean that so BIG up yourself

A massive thanks to Nickiy for being one of the most unselfish and genuine members of Turbosport, thanks for your efforts in helping with the website over the years and for sorting my spelling out on many occasions, and most of all THANKYOU for being YOU so dont change, and look after your new car

Nickiy asked me why we had done it, I replied : "Because it's for you"

Clint has said every thing that need to be said about why we did it.

It was hard who to ask and who not to ask Im sure there are so many people on here who would have helped, but with it being a secret we had to tell the least amount of people as possible

    Re: Amazing Weekend

As others have said I would have loved to donated or helped but possibly on a selfish note as I would have personally loved to have been part of this and feel the emotions that all involved are now going through.

Hats off have to go to everyone involved and TBH they must have had all the help they required as they have done a top top job and must all feel very proud of themselves!

Nickiy, I hope you love the result and it makes you smile for many years to come!

What an absolutely fantastic thing to do and congratulations to every one involved

I think it just goes to show that with a bit of unselfish effort, we could do a lot more for good causes, makes you realise that there are millions more unsung heroes that give their time upfor free, also makes me feel a bit guilty that I don't do enough.

I think Clint has summed it up as best as you can with mere words and its been one of the weekends of my life. Its things like this that make Turbosport a family rather than just a forum

    Re: Amazing Weekend

I'm never gonna forget this weekend. To be part of something like this is just, WOW! What a feeling, what excitement. Although I was just making the tea & coffee's I was so glad to be involved. I do feel that I have played a iccle part in it all

It was amazing to see the car change & develop from when I arrived Sunday morning til when I left last night. I could see the amount of hard work, time, & effort being put in by all!! Well done everybody

It was great to still be there when Nickiy arrived & to see her reaction. You could tell in her face how pleased, happy, amazed, grateful & thankful she was!! Don't think I could find enough words to describe how she was actually feeling. It was a fantastic sight, a magical moment & an emotional feeling

Guys, please don't be upset by not being asked to help, we had so many people here at Garys' place that we were tripping over each other.

Because of Clints ' fantastic organisation, we had every angle covered, all the big jobs were pre allocated, so all the pieces came together like a big jigsaw.

Please remember that this was all about Nickiy, and not about "US"
