Only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy. One is to let her
think she is having her own way, and the other is to let her have it.

    Re: Amazing Weekend

I have just realised that the fact people feel left out is actually a compliment, I know what we achieved over the weekend was simply amazing but I am thinking about the physical stuff I didn’t realise it would effect so many peoples emotions, when I told Nickiy I would tune her engine that was what I was going to do, I guess like most things I do it bulldozed into something an incey bit more.

I honestly didn’t see how great this project would appear to people, I should have got a clue when everyone I asked agreed to help or supply product agreed without question, so I can see that Members of our community could feel left out, but let me tell you how I did the initial planning:

I talked about it with members I see a lot, got the buy in from Jon Betts and Steve at Classic Ford then of a few sponsors then a few more, I drew a very tight project plan which showed me what I thought were hard but achievable milestones, I guessed how many people we needed on the project each day then set about drafting them in.
I asked all the people I spoke to as a matter of course then PMed a load more that happened to be online one night, once I had enough bodies I stopped asking people, I didnt even mention it to all the Turbosport Team and Staff!

I alone thought of the idea after watching overhaulin’
I alone organised the whole event
I alone was responsible for finding the resources

I find it hard that people should blame me for not asking them, I have spent 6 weeks solid that’s every spare minute working, thinking and talking to people about this project, a project that came from the heart, and I thought I had all angles covered, I am delighted that the whole thing worked out so well in fact I had a very emotional time when the car was revealed as did all the other fully grown men there, but I do feel quite downhearted that I am getting personally attacked for not asking all 6000 odd active members.

So please remember if you feel left out its my fault and no-one else’s if you really want to say something or continue along the line of this post please PM me, as I would like it kept off these posts!
