Carbon fibre prop shaft shortened and adaptor plate made
And now onto trying to make the front end fit.
Arches have been moved forward about 2inches to clear the wheels as I've pulled the antiroll bar forward for extra caster.
And first test day didn't go so well.
Car was great gave me false sense pushed too hard too soon car took a bit if a knock. 😢
Was gutted as I just fitted a heated screen.
£200 down the swany

the knock wasnt good, but that fact you pushed enough to get one is good i think!
certainly in racing its considered that if you dont fall off from time to time your not trying, not sure if that applies to drifting though.......
Don't let these things get you down tho so fix ASAP.
Also finished the front wings so I could get all the last bits painted at the same time. 😉

Nice work Trig shame about the knock but you certainly have the skills to mend it again.

Been catching up on all this on the 350z forum, how exactly did you shorten the prop ? I assumed they would be bonded in etc. was it just a case of knock out the UJ as shown cut down the whack it back in !! Asking as the RX8 comes with a nice carbon prop when coupled with the box aswell would be great,
cheers trig
Yes mate it was the easiest job of the whole build really I draw a line down the prop so when I cut it down I knew I could get it back in the same place.
As for cutting it I used a bit of paper edge wrapped round the prop draw a line and cut with a angle grinder. 😉

After watching your videos it certainly as held up well Great build saw it in the flesh last year at Santa pod
Just push fit on splines bud.
That's how it was from the factory so that's how I put it back. Was thinking about bonding but if I had any problems with it I would never get it apart again. 😉
