Depending on whether your car is roadgoing or non-roadgoing you will need the following:
1) Roadgoing. An MOT certificate, a logbook issued by the DVLA & a tax disc displayed in the windscreen.
2) Non-roadgoing an MSA logbook. This logbook is issued by the Motorsports association which you will need to apply for & obtain before your first event. To do this you will need to contact a local scrutineer or official and arrange for them to inspect the car. They check for things like eligible roll cage design, harnesses, seats, fuel tank & plumbing & record the general specification of the car. For this you will need to pay a small fee & supply a photo of your car. The details of you car are then recorded on the MSA database & you'll then receive a paper document, the Logbook.
