Just a couple more :

How about a the nut for the top of a bilstein strut. The one that holds the top mount on
I'm pretty sure they are UNF. Ask Ratters if he remembers, we had this conversation once.

just thought id add
xflow oil pressure take-off:
1/8 NPT for 681 blocks
1/4 NPT for 691 and 711m
anyone know the thread for the seat bolts on a mk2 escort??
More than likely to be a plain m6 or m8 bolt....but i dont think i have ever used the standard captive nuts as im sure they all had bolts rusted in them so i chopped them off!
thats what i thought, but they're not!
Would rather keep them as they're orginal so any other ideas what they could be??
They will be metric.
It might just be corrosion preventing the bolt going through them, have you tried running a tap down the thread to clean it up?

i had a problem a few weeks back finding long enough bolts to mount my lotus twink onto a clarke engine stand i think they were 3\8th unc but they needed to be at least 4 inches long after many days of running around with a bolt in my hand lawsons fastenings and fixings in southampton came up with the goods and they can supply any bolt size or length off the shelf if not they can get it within 24 hours they sorted me right out.
Happy New Year everyone. What's the thread on the TCA?
