    Hi, are the inner track control arm to crossmember bolts different on a Mk1 & Mk2 ? On after market arms there seems to be a lot of slack in the bush.

    mk1 and mk2 are the same. its probably because the aftermarket bushes have been made to metric and not imperial

    It will be UNC I guess, whichever one a 1/2" spanner fits onto.

    Does anyone know english axle half shaft retaining bolts? X4 on each side? I think they are unf not 100%

    also front leaf spring bolt and rear leaf spring shackle nut?

    Nudger, it's not a bolt, it's the blanking plug for the water jackets. Not sure what size it is but it is a brass hex headed plug and it's tapered so it is probably NPT.

    What size are the anti tramp bolts? That fit through the (front) brackets not axle

    does anyone know what size of bolt and thread is used to hold a compression strut cone assembly together. this is the part that clamps through the TCA and is socket head. It seems to be a very fine thread to anything else i have lying around.

    Ok so did some measuring and got 9.34mm or 0.367 inch which from googling i think is 3/8 so i reckon 3/8 unf x 1 inch does this sound correct not really an expert on imperials👍

    5/16 unc (i believe just been looking myself) and the diff nuts should be the same just ordered some so we shall see.

    I'd hazard a guess at M5 x 0.8 but they might be M4 x 0.7

    I'm sure they'd be metric though as the Mk2 is..

    According to my notes it should be 3/8" NPTF, I tapped the same adapter from eBay into a custom inlet manifold and it seemed to tighten down good, added a small dap of thread sealer for good measure.
