    best wheel size for capri

Could i get opinions on what the best wheel and tyre combination (size and width) would be to improve the handling of my 2.8 capri. It is currently on 13inch 7 spokes with 205-60-13s.

15 x 7Js with 195/50s, this is what Ford should have done with all the later cars, the even admitted thmeselves.

Make sure your suspension is all in good condition too, no good have better tyres if they are not contacting the road properly.

    thanks for the replies

sorry retro but with your reply are you saying i could get an 8.5 inch wide rim with a 235 under the arches?. Would this still be on a 13inch diameter rim.

Re: best wheel size for capri

just had a look under the car and as its a turbo technics model, the single exhaust runs pretty close to the passenger side rear wheel which would limit what i could fit in there.

On the plus side i guess not having 2 exhausts running under the car frees up some room for a panhard bar?
