    Question 105e Beginner

I have just converted to an old skool ford so it was out with the new (rs turbo) and in with the old, a 1967 105e annglia.

I have a 1700 vulcan lump to replace the v6 starter motor (aka std engine), and i was wondering what box to use poss 2000e. If you have any recomendations please can you point me in the right direction and what mods are needed.

Also what axle should i use, and can i use the std prop ?

If anyone has any pointers ie: brakes, suspension or anything regarding the car please let me know.

    Cheers Dave

    Hi m8
2000e box will be fine, will need to cut a hole for the gear lever further back or fit the gears into a 1200 gearbox casing, will also need a 1200 propshaft.Standard axle is fine
As for the suspension there are many different views on what works and what doesn't.Personally i've got Mk2 cortina struts modified by Milton along with their top mounts, adjustable tca's and modified steering arms.although its not cheap it works very well and comes highly recommended.
Have a look over on www.105speed.com. Lots of info and help

hi 105e's are not an area that i really have any knowledge in, but the 2000E (corsair not cortina) box is a good one, and your rear axle being an english should be upto the job if its not a full blown competition car with very sticky tyres
