    carb flow rate

    anyone know roughly the flow rate of bike carbs or if a 38DGAS would flow anywhere near

    Don't know specifics but the 38 when fitted to 3.0 V6 engines produced 150-160hp? And a set of 900cc Fireblade carbs will allow near 175-180+hp. But its not exactly a fair comparison as a 4 barrel Holley with similar chokes to the bike carbs could flow enough air for 4-500hp on a yank V8!

    its not just carb flow rate, its all the corners in the inlet manifold and less than ideal grouping of manifold runners which will hurt power on a dgas,

    even your average pinto will make 15-20 bhp more on a pair of 45,s than a dgas, i imagine the difference on the st170 will be even bigger
