    1973 Ford Cortina Mk3, St170 project

It’s been a long time in the making but after 3 years and a small fire she is coming along very well.
    Originally it’s a 1973 L but was a failed restoration

    Current spec

    1600 xflow
    Lowered 1” with spax shocks
15” JBW wheels with Toyo T1Rs
    GXL front grill
    GXL dash and centre clocks
    ST170 Recaro front seats
    Ford Scorpio rear bench
Granada callipers with EBC green pads
    Capri blackdiamond disks
    Polly bushed all the rear

    Next

Currently building the ST170 engine running standered inlet
    Emraled K6 ECU
Type 9 box with Pinto clutch setup
    Wilwood brake kit
    Whiteline ARBs front and rear
    Polly bush all the front

There is a lot to be done but hope to have most of this done before the year is out.

A few photos from the weekend a friend took (he likes his photography). last few weeks have been sorting issues out! im having a new inle tplenum made as i just cant fit the original one on the car going to take few weeks but i have plenty to get on with.
Servo is going in, just waiting on a service kit for it master cylinder.
Adding new brake lines to the front this week as well as making brackets to hold the pipes and unions.

    1973 Ford Cortina Mk3, St170 project

Right it been a wile since I last updated but the engine is in and fitted to a custom made plenum and the original throttle body! All hoses etc are on and fitted and now is just the wiring. I had the loom made for the engine and it's going to be running a Emerald ECU.

I'm hoping the auto electrician is coming over this weekend to finalise the wiring and make sure what I have done is right! So maybe she might be running :-D

Still got to have the prop made and then exhaust after that but she is comming along very well :-)

Where did you get the top rad hose from, is it a silicone one? Looking a tidy install.

A bit of an update is that she is on the road, passed MOT a few weeks ago still need an exhaust made (got a bodge job on there at the moment) booked in for 2nd May for that. Then its off for a full remap

Some photos of her from the Bromyard speed festival this weekend:

lol its a bit of an animal really
Took her on a few road trips last year and she has performed perfectly.
its been on the rolling road and got to 175bhp.

No real issues as yet, do get a smell of fuel coming into the car! i have no leaks in the fuel line or round the pump so just trying find where that is coming from.
    Otherwise all is good
