    Fuel rail ticking

    Fuel rail ticking

Morning all, has anyone got any thoughts. I have a quite loud tick on the duratec. The car has had new injectors and the tick was evident before and after.

I bought a stethoscope to try and identify where the noise was coming from. My findings:

No tick on the engine, sounds great
    Injectors themselves mild tick
    Fuel rail loud tick
    Fuel pressure regulator no tick

Any ideas? I have another fuel rail which I could try to see if it's an air leak, but this seems unlikely. Weird!

Probably the injectors. As amazing as EV14 injectors are they can be loud as hell. The racecars's old motor sounded like the valve lash was very loose, and my F150 sounds like it has an exhaust leak at the headers. Nahh, just the injectors.

I thought that but the noise is in the rail. Does anyone with a dead end rail have a fuel rail damper in place?
