Any idea of postage for a brake/clutch reservoir for a Mk.1 escort? I'm a fair distance away!

Re: Who wanted Brake fluid Reservoirs again ?

I'll have to look at costs. The price of aluminium as a material has gone up a lot in the last five years since CR500dom was building them. If there does have to be a price increase it will not be too big.

I'm going to have a go at forming a couple of top plates with the nice formed edges. If i can get this looking right and repeatable the only thing i will have to sort is the threaded collars for the caps.

I wonder if anyone sells them or if i am going to have to get my own machined?

I'm in the market for a bulkhead top catch tank for a MK1 escort, it would need to be a drivers' side one though.

A bung style cap would do for a catch tank as well if that makes things easier?

Re: Who wanted Brake fluid Reservoirs again ?

I'd be after a brake reservoir two outlets and maybe a tank I could use as a header id it could fit on the pass. side between the hinge and washer bottle but need to find out if I can run without a header first but defo a brake jobber

I'm sure I've seen thread aluminium collars on the net somewhere fairly cheap too similar to this http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p1...duct_info.html

If you can make up a dual brake (2 outlet) + clutch reservoir, I'd love one.

I was thinking of the same thing but splitting it so about a third is breather, 2 thirds is washer bottle??

    Could look like this??

Could be taller than this one as it's just a breather!!

I'm still on this and will be measuring some cars this week.

Still looking for a solution to the threaded boss and plastic cap for brake reservoir.

What sort of fitting would be most popular for the brake fluid outlets?

WOW, this post is a blast from the past!
Did Doug ever do anything with these?
Definitely seems like there was enough interest.
I've been looking around and Pro Alloy either do the BREATHER TANK OR HEADER TANK

I'm thinking brake reservoirs with the option for clutch would be good?
