Yep... it dosnt get better than the DTM... well maybe the DTRC
quality . . . . . weird how most types of motorsport seem to have gone down hill since the good old days, F1, rallying (not quite so bad) touring car etc!
Its only really the DTM and V8 supercars that have stayed true to their concepts really. Touring cars and a lot of other championships suffer from being constantly 'dumbed down' to curb rising costs which works for a couple of seasons until a major manufacturer comes in and raises the bar and then it all gets out of hand and they have to change the rules again.
V8 supercars is so good because it is very competitive, the cars are fast and exciting to watch and they get big grids thanks to the lack of meddling with the rulebook every year.
There may only be two makes of car but every fan has a different team or driver that they support.
The only exception is WRC which IMHO needs a total rewrite of the rulebook to simplify the cars which are needlessly over complicated and far too expensive. Aren't Ford pretty much the only manufacturer competing properly this year? Thats crazy
