    Wanted, part number for roller bearing or sperical bearing for a top mount

    As title, loads of people are offering news rubber top mounts, mine are modified and i just want to change the bearing, can i even just change the bearing? I dont know and dont want to start trying to hammer mine out if i cant.

    Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks james

    Normally just held in with a circle - the bearings are available separately:

    As above. I got one from a bearing supplier off the number that was on the bearing. I think it was a lot cheaper.

    You wouldnt happen to have the paperwork with part number on would you? Think my bearings are past trying to get a number off them!

    How old are your top mounts? The original FORD mounts are now unserviceable as they had a unique bearing that is long out of stock. All current and recent top mounts have used a newer bearing to get around this issue. It also depends if your mounts use a spherical bearing or a roller bearing (spherical bearings are only available on the more newer versions, not original ford versions)

    I think they maybe original top mounts i think, there are sperical balls inside the bearing, but it didnt look like a sperical bearing that we know about now. It looked old and knackered and basically falling apart! Guess its something to add to the list to buy over the winter!
