    Dash Instruments

Im looking at installing some different dials within my original instrument cluster (Escort MK3 Zetec) for no other reason than to be different. The car is used for shows/weekend runs on the road so obviously i need something that is MOT leal.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions/experience at doing this?

I have also looked at universal digital dash displays that you can buy and fit inside the original housing but again i dont know what would be MOT legal

    Any help greatly appreciated

Current MOT regs only require a Speedo to be fitted together with an odometer - they aren't even tested to see if they work!
There are some nice combination units available - analogue rev counter with digital speedo and odometer has always appealed to me - SPA for example!

MOT here in NI require speedo ( dual marked if 1986+ or somewhere thereabouts although that's a NI thing ), odometer obviously and all warning lights on the dash must be fitted and work. ie indicators, main beam, fogs etc etc

I would have thought the mainland MOT was brought up to par with that in the changes a year or two ago ?

For complete units, some motorbike clock sets can be moved.
