It looks like a Kent grind of the Burton BF 63 cam. Look on Burton's site for cam data.

Yes Kent possibly do grind for Burton now Graham. I have a Burton BF 63 cam of 30 yrs vintage and there's no mention of KC stamped on it.

    Re: Pinto Cam

Thanks guys I'll look on burtons site for timing details and power band see if it's what I want. Just got my block back which is now 2.1 with Mahle pistons, probably get one of burtons stage 3 heads. I've got a set of 48 delorettos to fling on so will see how it goes.

    Re: Pinto Cam

I have a BF63 cam, and ran it for a while in a fast road pinto... and the answer is it was quite driveable on the street... not as driveable as my FR32 though...

I bought a Burton cam recently and it came in a Kent box.

    Re: Pinto Cam

Great cam, some way between and RL31 and HT1 cam, a big favourite in hillclimb pintos, needs 11.5:1+ compression and 38mm chokes to work best....good for 180hp with a good head set up.

    Re: Pinto Cam

I ran a BF 63 cam in a 2.1 Pinto on split 48's on a road rally car back in 87. It was a good cam with plenty of low and mid range torque.

Make sure you do your homework before parting with your cash for a Pinto Big valve head. Vulcan, Harris and our own Graham on here all do very good heads.

The injection heads have egg shaped 38mm inlet ports the carb'd heads have round shaped 36mm inlet ports.
