    2.0 pinto into mk2 escort

    I'm picking up a pinto engine on sunday and was wondering what i will need to fit it into a 1977 4 door mk2 escort...(auto shell)

    hi, same question has been asked before if you search.
    a few
    the inhibitor to stop it starting in anything but park must be bypassed
    prop fits type 9
    g/box xmember fits -use 20 x 20 drop spacer blocks
    you need sump, mounts etc

    The inhibitors been done as i converted it from auto to manual ...its just the engine im upgrading to a pinto but need to know whats needed.....can i use the existing x member

    yes you can use existing x member but you need differnt mounts

    You'll need a rs2000 alloy sump or a reproduction one don't be fooled by the steel dumps on eBay they will not fit.
