    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

Right here we fooking go problems...

I bolted the box to the block (1st problem threads are fooked in bellhousing).
Lifted the engine box so the gear stick lines up in the hole...
Then lookd in the bay... second problem... Engine looks way to far forword the crank wheel is nearly touching the rad xmember...

Next i tryed the prop this fits but is very close the the gearbox so No room to move it back...

Then I just wanted to cheer myself up so did this...

The head dont look to far from the bulk head so not shore what the fook is going on now...

    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

this morning I bit the bullet cut the gearbox tunnel around the hole so I can move the engine back...

Then started cleaning the engine bay up as it not been touched for a bout 10years so needs a bit of work before it hits the road with more power...

you dont need a 3 belt pulley Trig so get a smaller on and it will free up space at the front

Hello mate, proper engine!! Just cut the front V of the pully off with a hacksaw. If the sump is clearing the crossmember then you have got the motor back far enough.

    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

Keep with it is my advice. They are amazing when done & i wish i had done mine years ago. You are kidding yourself if you think it will bolt straight in & be done in a few weeks but is any engine conversion easy & hassle free?? There are plenty of people on here to help & im only a call away if you need any help in a hurry (im no expert though ). They really are the tits when on the road & YOU WILL forget all the probs on the way.

    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

i really really think you shouldnt chop the bulkhead! FFS its a road/trackday car running skinny wheels and tyres which means chopping the bulkhead is very ott, you dont need or want ultimate handling and unless your going to arch it aswell you wont get it anyway, chopping the bulkhead risks turning it in to a project which will take years and can massively effect the value of the shell, for a start it means if the car were to ever compete in hillclimbs or sprints it woul end up in the anything goes sports libre class and it would be pretty much the same for most race series too
