    Trigs tarts freshen up!

The old boys taken a battering over the 8years Ive had it so spoke very nicely to the boss over xmas and got the car in for a respray (and a few other jobs, dont tell the boss).

Only started this week but have been buzzy at work so the only thing I have done is mark the areas that need work with marker pen so I dont miss any once I start rubbing it down(car is now mostly black), scary how bad your pride and joy is once you start.

Sorry no pics forgot to take camera to work will get some tomorrow(or today as it is).

    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

Been off work sick last few dat so just quick update.
did a bit of welding/filling monday,
then today we had training day on the £30,000 measaring system weve had for months butnot known how to use.
Bit of a mare but have now get print out of stuctral parts of the car. four jacking points for base refrence then two points above the axle two more on the end of the legs by the rear leaf spring hanger. went a bit mad on the front.
two pionts on the x-member two on the anti roll bar mounts two on the strut tops.
Will come in handy when I get round it rebuilding my mex!!!

Looking good dude should be a cracking car when its finished

Also good work with the wings the old ones looked pretty tired might be able to sell them on if there not rotten for someone for bubbles

Also how goods that bonding stuff, i take it its the shit as its industrial use only, cos im thinking of bonding the gutters for my roofskin when i change it to save having to spot weld and grind off the welds and also means less heat damage, burning paint, future rust from happening so might have to get you to nick me some of that stuff

    Re: Trigs tarts freshen up!

Glue/Bonding stuff is the muts mate,
I have used it on high top transit roofs, boot floors, even a 1/4 panel on a van. Never had any job come back with it, also it garenteed and crash tested to modern standerds. is stronger than a weld as it got 100% contact unlike spot welds. have a look on the web page mate think its www.fusor.com Ill try myself later.

Frist of all an up date on yesterday:-
Got up early so I could get to work see if the glue had gone off and if it would hold pray:
All is well so cleaned off the exses glue and put a bass skim of filler, Then dinner time cleaned up the inside of the arch and primed, After work started to clean up the door that a mate donated gone in the same place as mine but not as bad, flip door over and paint striped, finaly went home.

Then to day rubbed down the bass filler and reskimed ready for after work, rubbed down top filler masked and painted.

    ONE DOWN ONE TO GO!
