    Advice required if possible

Some of you may have seen I'm looking for a tidy mk1 or mk2 cosworth in the general banter section.

A few owners have contacted me about non cosworth powered cars which I seem to have spent all weekend reading up on.

Firstly the car for me will be a weekend car just to have some fun in. Maybe the odd sprint at Curborough seeing as I live close but that's all.

So far 3 that tickle my fancy are

    Mk2 gp4 redtop on 45s
    Mk2 with s2000 lump
    Mk1 1300 now with 2.1 hpe pinto.

Sorry for the ignorance I'm completely new to ford's so I'm looking for some advice.

    Thanks in advance

    Kieran

if you want to sprint, then unless you are ok with ending in in an anything goes class you need to stick to an pinto or x/f powered car

    Cheers all.

I'm not looking to enter competitively. My friends hire it a few times a year for birthdays.

Yeah I need to find someone local really to get a better idea
