Some photos of the newly spruced Engine bay

Looks a nice old porker, what do you value that at?
The engine bay is stunning.
I don't know what these are worth tbh.
Behave bellend. Backward step going back to an Escort.
Behave soft lad, old Escorts are way overpriced and no fun to drive. As Ruddy says get yourself over to Germany with us next May for a week of driving (at high speed) , beer and banter
Think you would need three of them to be able to swap for a mk1 or 2 , a nice 944 would be worth around 5-6k IMO
Away! a half decent Escort will run rings round a 944.....sideways!
I've owned plenty of MK2 RS's in the last 30 years and can assure you that a decent 944 S2 or Turbo is more than a match for it in anything but a tight twisty lane.
As for values £10k won't get you anything of RS quality that doesn't need plenty of work done to it (usually rot) or will be a re shell/ringer with incorrect parts fitted! A good S2 is now £9-12k with low mileage Turbo's at £15-20k
Maybe a std RS or lightly modified one but a 2.5 or 2.7 NA against a decent modded Escort - debateable, 944's only have between 160 and 200hp (NA) and weigh over 1300kgs! Dont get me wrong, they are decent things, if you like the handling style, i drove a 2.7 on track years ago and wasnt a fan, nice grip with the transaxle weight over the rear end but i found them pretty dull to drive.
There is only one Porsche in my opinion, as flawed as they are....has to be a 911!

Andy's S2 is a 3.0l 16v (225bhp) and I have 2 x 2.5l 8v Turbo's (325bhp)
The 944 Turbo's were purposely restricted by Porsche as they kept beating the 911's on track and still can do it to this day with the right driver against much more powerful machinery.
on a rally stage I'd take a MK2 every time but on a race track or fast road it would be the Porsche for balance, power and weight distribution.
Porsche do the same with the Cayman and Boxter which are a far better design that a 911 too, the 911 is still the icon in my opinion, timeless car that still retains its retro look, love them....the only Porker id have.
I've had several Mk2 Escorts and Transaxel Porsches. All I can say is that they are both great cars in their own way. The 944 S2 is a Fantasic car and its a crime that they are worth so little (compared to old Fords). I'm sure the value of a decent 944 can only climb over time.
Still here
