Pinto exhuasts what's the best dimensions for the power

    Hello
my pinto is running 164bhp. I rev between 4 thousand and 8thou while racing using a 32-36 weber
just trying to work out the best system and sizes system has to be 4-1 and boxes are controlled at 55mm id and overall length is restricted
    my questions are

    best manifold pipe size
best size for the main pipe
is it better to have an equal length manifold pipes into the collector
best length of the manifold pipes

    thanks for helping

It is indeed. Was it that much of a give away

Just some thoughts I have like most a Simpson although I believe the main pipe seems to be ok in size that the manifolds seem rather large and in equal just wondering if there's room for improvement

I think the Simpson ones are hard to beat, speak to Mark at SRD Engines, he does piles of F2 engines.

His own manifold is for an Escort, 4-2-1, I don't think he makes them for F2's

Re: Pinto exhuasts what's the best dimensions for the power

Modern spec F2 Pinto's do make a lot of horsepower due to cams like the GTS6 (310 degrees seat, very high lift), very high compression and a modifies carb. Also they don't have an alternator which would eat up some of the bhp.

PS: why is this in the Toyota section??
