    Does this look right to everyone

    Mk2 escort pinto solenoid on starter got no power at the fuse box got 12 v at battery starter and ignition barrel but no ignition lights nothing

    Does this look right to everyone

    The ign light is not associated with starter circuit. It takes a live from sw via lamp to alternator

    have you got the black/red wire connected to the main live? the black/red is the trigger for the solenoid from the ignition switch should be wired to S on most starters.
    black/yellow or red/blue if i remember on mk2's is fuse box live

    Yea connected to main live will connect that to the little 8 mil nut and then the yellow and black wire does that go to the spade connector or the main live

    yellow and black wire is connected to the spade terminal. this provides a switched 12V output from the solenoid that bypasses the ballast wire ( built into the wiring loom ) for the coil, when the engine is cranking.

    12V for the rest of the car electrics is picked up on a red (or brown) wire dirctly from the battery
