Ive got myself an engine stand to rebuild an old pinto and was wondering if anyone knows where you get bolts long enough to bolt the engine to it?

You should get them at any fixing supplies. M10 x 1.25 x about 110mm I would think.. I need some too when I get round to it. Or alternatively some lengths of studding.. Got to be a good tensile rating though.. 10.9's I think.

to be honest, the tensile strength really isnt important when it comes to an engine stand, its not like the engine will be running and under load.
my pintos i bolt to the engine stand via the mounts on the side of the block which are only m8 8.8 never had an issue
Cheers guys
Ebay, just search on thread size say "M10 bolt" there are loads of suppliers selling them various lengths materials etc. Most charge a bit extra but are free delivery. Saves you getting off your bum and hunting them down.
I just used studding and nuts engine been on stand about 2 years and no problems
its so worth doing, ive got side mounts for pinto, x/flow, zetec, a series, bmw 4 cylinder, opel cih it means you can mount rear main seals, flywheels and clutches so much easier because you can do it on the stand still.
in fact some engines because ive had the flywheel on ive also been able to fit the starter and prime the oil system
Cheap threaded rod is handy and cheap. One size fits all ( for the respective thread of course )
Standard M10 is x1.5mm
9.85 @ 145mph 202mph standing mile
