    car wiring question

    Hi guys

Im currently dry building the car before it goes into paint and im going to have a go at wiring it up. My question is, can you run more than one circuit on a fuse via a distribution block?
Im only asking as i've got around 16 circuits that i can think of, off the top of my head. Can it be done?

These are the majority of the circuits:

    Sidelights
    Dipped beam
    Main beam
    Indicators / Hazards
    Brake lights
    Fog Light
    Interior light
    Fuel Pump 1
    Fuel Pump 2
    Race tech dash
    Omex ECU
    Wipers
    Washers
    Horn
    Fans
    12 Volt socket
    Fuel Gauge / Level Sensor
    Blower Motor
    Steering ECU
    Steering Controller
    Any help would be great

    Thanks, Scott

It sounds like you've missed out relay's in the circuits, attached is a typical wiring diagram.

A lot will depend on how you want things but yes you could control more from one relay, but then you have to think about the total amps on that circuit and get the appropriate relay, wire, fuse/circuit breaker. I went a little too far with my MG rewire, but wanted everything controlled via individual circuits so that that circuit can be isolated and not take anything out with it.
I'm sure the more experienced could make improvements on mine, plus that diagram is not quite accurate as things turned out when putting it into practiceClick image for larger version Name:	Typical Wiring Diagram.jpg Views:	78 Size:	93.0 KB ID:	80122Click image for larger version Name:	MG.jpg Views:	79 Size:	100.3 KB ID:	80123

    car wiring question

    In short yes
    Ie interior / dash
    Wipers / washers / horn
    Etc
Safety critical like brake lights or headlights would have their own generally

    Re: car wiring question

That's what I thought, I could run a few under the same fuse providing that they don't pull too much current

And also, I haven't bothered listing relays as the relays themselves will be fused off of the circuit? Ie. Fuel pump 1 relay will get its supply from the fuel pump 1 fuse

    car wiring question

You can run its switched supply from the same fuse also but it is more wiring compared to a looped live or ground across several switches or relays.
