    Duratec blocks

I'm fitting a Duratec to one of my escorts
But the 2.0 is hard to find in Ireland so I have a 1.8 block and head as there is plenty of them around
Can I use a 1.8 as a dummy to fabricate everything while I continue looking for a 2.0
Basically are the 1.8 & 2.0 externally the same

I'll eventually probably have buy a ST150 engine in the UK but are these better than a standard 2.0 engine

    The blocks are identical externally.
