    Where to buy these parts?

    Hi!

I need a rs2000 single piece propshaft to mate my type-9 to the english axle in my mk2 Escort.

    I also need a rs2000 aluminium bellhousing.

Im aware of various suppliers but i live in Sweden so if the propshaft would be out of balance or the bellhousing badly machined then it would potentially be a hassle to sort it out with the supplier.

I would be very happy if someone with recent experience in purchasing these items from a supplier could give me some feedback.

I want quality parts and im ofcourse willing to pay for it.

    Any good advice?

    Kind regards,
    David

Your best bet is to give Gatrac a call or Historic Motorsport, their parts are of quality.

Both would also be available from Burton.

I read a recent thread from september on here where a guy stated that the one he got from burton was out of balance. I was planning on buying it from them but that got me concerned...

    Cant find the thread now.

Gartrac (but that must have obvious).

Better quality means higher price; a propshaft from RD is half the price of one at Gartrac.

I wouldn't bother with burtons anymore they have the poorest customer service of any supplier I have dealt with when it comes to classic fords. They used to be good but recent experiences have been poor to say the least

I actually bought some parts from them last summer, worked out ok in the end but they were bad to inform me about extended deliverytimes. Only the older salesmen seemed to show interest in me as a customer... The young not so much.

Update, neither gartrac, grp4fabrications or historic motorsport can supply a rs2000 bellhousing.

Dave at historic motorsport suggested that if one is not in a hurry, it's best to try and find a good condition original Ford bellhousing.

Tried emailing, PM and even calling our turbosport sponsor about the bellhousing but no answer back.

Guess im going to have to contact burton about the bellhousing...
