    Heavy breathing xflow

My xflow is breathing heavily, did a road rally last night and most of the oil ended up in the catch tank
The engine was still pulling well and didn't seem to drop in power

I've bought a leakage tester off ebay to confirm that the rings are worn which I think they might be
Will I get away with just honing the bores and new rings

Probably hard to answer without seeing the bores themselves but any advice is welcome

    Re: Heavy breathing xflow

impossible to say without stripping luke, but its easily possible. i had the very same problem with my xflow before i rebuilt it the first time. catch can would fill maybe twice a day through an endurance rally, with a small but steady flow of fumes from the filter on the catch can.
when i stripped it and measured all the bores in a number of places with the bore guage they were well within spec, the rongs were just toast.
new set of rings and a good hone and it was perfect

Exact same symptoms as mine so hopefully it will be OK
