    Fiuesta ST Fuel Rail material?

Strange request guys and gals, but I want to have a union welded on the end of a Fiesta ST fuel rail to enable a flow through fuel system, rather than the current dead end system. I am just wondering what material the fuel rail is made from, they show no signs of corrosion which maybe a coating, protection.

I know a few on here have don this mod, hence my question and what to discuss with prospective engineers.

Stainless steel, not 100% sure of grade but they are usually 304, easy to tig weld.

The MZR/duratec rails I've delt with were factory brazed on some sort of 300 grade stainless. STAY AWAY from the factory brazing with your tig welds or you'll never get that thing to seal. Also, watch out having the bung go straight out the front because it'll interfere with the engine lift hook and having to take that on and off to pull the engine would be a huge pita.
