So lots happening and time for an update
The sandblasting really did a number on the roof so after 2 days of heating and shrinking we had enough so I bought another shell and we cut the roof off and will do a transplant
Body work is going well too
I picked up an old V8 SuperCar Spoiler that I'll use for the rear wing
Clutch has turned up too so another piece of the puzzle sorted. Very nice bit of kit

That spare shell looks familiar Matt. Will get put to good use.

Hey Mate, we have a Car Show my club runs (Small Ford Sunday) in 2 weeks that I am hoping my will be at all finished so we are pushing hard
Do you have any measurements of your side mounts (horses heads) for your rear spolier. I'd love to copy it as I'll get it laser cut from Alloy I think
Cheers
Matt
All guns firing now
Were painting the interior grey so whilst the roof was off we painted the top of the roll cage and the inside of the roof
New roof was then mig welded back on using the spot weld holes the ground back
Then filler over the top to smooth it all off with sikaflex over the welds to smooth them off and stop and liquid getting in their
As it sits tonight
We'll be painting the engine bay tomorrow with top coat so will update again then
Thanks for looking
Matt

So first topcoat color is done in the engine bay. This will match the interior too. We are painting in 2pak so you can spray straight over the primer layers.
Looks great but got a run in the worst place possible too.
looking good..little run, easy fix for them...what color is that ...cheers mark
Wasnt sure if it was antique white or grey...some times photos dont show the color...i cant decide on what color to paint the inside...im at the some kind of blue stage at the moment....i want a simple color...and every time i see one i like its pearl or metal or candy...lol....
More body work....
Back left is now pretty much done. Right side tomorrow then we can paint it Friday hopefully
Pics...
And couple more of the engine bay
Almost there...be a shame to race it...cheers mark
Pushing hard to get the car to Small Ford Sunday in 3 sleeps..
Body work now pretty much done. My mate is getting sick of it I think!
Rear cut out done
Now fitting the body kit
Wheels on to make sure the flares are centred
Dropped in today to pick up that bonnet.... it's much better than I was expecting, thanks.
The car is coming along nicely...
How many all nighters are you planning before Sunday?????
Shaun
Hey Mate,
Was up till 3 last night so thevend is in site
Weve decided to just get it to the show in undercoat thrn paint afterwards. We'd hate to rush it and not do the hest job we can
The interior will be complete though so it should look pretty cool anyway hopefully
Cheers
Matt
assembly begins
The car has been painted outside in primer but topcoat in the engine bay and interior
We have put all the running gear back in inc drivetrain

Yes, We thought about rushing the final painting to get it ready in time but decided to wait and do it properly
The car is now 80% built and sitting on a trailer ready to go
I'll get some pics up tomorrow after the show but to say I am happy is an understatement
PM me Mark if you want a sneak peak
Cheers
Matt
So we had Small Ford Sunday today run by my car club (Rallye Sport Owners Club of Victoria). Was an awesome day with over 300 cars turning up. Keep an eye out for a write up in the next edition of Classic Ford Magazine.
So Saturday we spent the day just throwing a few bits in it then put on the flares and got it on the trailer
Here's the pics of the build and from today
still lots to do but this has given us a lots of motivation
Next up plumbing and wiring then wheel alignment then top coats
Thanks for reading
Love it ...didnt think you get that far.... Will look the dogs when painted

Thanks Mate, We'll plumb and wire it this week then off off to the chassis dyno. Then we can do the final prep then paint
So I've looking a round for a while for somewhere I can get my dash flocked. I couldn't find anywhere so decided to do it myself
My dash was pretty cracked so needed some plastic filler to fill in all the cracks then a good sanding to get it all smooth
Then coat it all in glue then sprinkle on the Flock
I'm really impressed on how it turned out. It needs to cure for 72 hours so I'll put up more pics once completed
Here's a few pics of the before and after

Where did you get the kit?
I might be interested in doing something similar given the cost of recovering.
Thanks, Shaun
Hey Sean,
I got it from here - https://www.timbecon.com.au/site-sea...earch=flocking
